Rage Doesn’t Always Scream
Sometimes it smiles politely while your nervous system begs you to stop abandoning yourself.
There’s a kind of rage that doesn’t throw plates.
It doesn’t yell.
It doesn’t always look “angry.”
Sometimes it goes quiet.
Sometimes it becomes:
hyper-independence
emotional numbness
perfectionism
people-pleasing
chronic exhaustion
over-functioning
smiling while your nervous system slowly burns to the ground
That’s the kind of rage we talked about in the newest summit conversation for Witches’ Rage: Fury as Fuel for Aligned Action.
And honestly?
This conversation is not comfortable.
Good.
We’re done with keeping things superficial and ‘nice’.
Comfort has protected systems that harmed women for generations.
I just had a powerful conversation Lya - she’s a speaker in my upcoming summit “Witches Rage: Fury as Fuel for Aligned Action” and she going to unpack some religion tea on my podcast “Witchy Sh!t by Design” very soon…
Our (happily recorded) discussion goes into:
what happens when the body remembers before the mind does
why self-trust feels impossible for so many women
the devastating impact of being minimized after abuse
how religion, family systems, and “keeping the peace” often become mechanisms of silence
and the moment a woman realizes:
“I don’t trust moving forward yet… but I know what I will never go back to.”
That line hit me like a freight train.
Because sometimes healing doesn’t begin with confidence.
Sometimes it begins with refusal.
This summit is not about becoming softer, quieter, prettier, or easier to digest.
It’s about what happens when women stop internalizing everything.
And that changes everything.
This summit is going to change the conversations we have and change the things we tolerate.
Welcome to my substack. It’s going to be a ride.
Much love,
Michaela
